Duck Master, once is enough

Today, we had the above roasted duck from Duck Master for lunch. It was quite cheap and is the latest craze. However, I found the duck not up to my expectation. The skin was crispy, meat quite tender but salty. More overall, the duck was small and do not have much meat.
Duck Master opened its fifth outlet at Seletar Mall a few weeks ago.

Duck's meat to maintain body temperature

We ordered half roasted duck and other dishes with porridge for lunch. The duck wasn't as good as we had a week ago. It was rather dry but nevertheless, we need duck's red meat to maintain our ideal body temperature of 36.5 C. The porridge dishes were so so too.

Meals for today

Lunch was roasted duck and dinner was fish head curry, vegetables and rice at Jalan Kayu coffee shop. That was half portion of a duck which was $20. The fish head (half) was $22 and the veggies were $3 from a nasi lemak stall. Rice was 60c per plate. Food as usual good and worthwhile paying for.

A visit to Tiong Bahru Hawker Center on a Sunday

Not satisfied with yesterday's char kway teow from Tiong Bahru, we decided to pay it a visit again. Surprisingly, being a Sunday the place wasn't even 50% full. By the time we arrived, some of the stalls were shut.
The first item we ordered was the Fried Hokkien Mee ($3) followed by the Chwee Kuah ($2) and Char Siew Duck Rice ($5). Like yesterday's CKT, the taste was nothing spectacular. Only the kopi O (90c)was good.
The place was cleaner and well kept, better than most like Chong Pang, Tampines and other hawker centers in Singapore.
Please note that there is no free car parking on Sunday and public holidays.

Dinner: Bee Hoon & Roasted Duck

My dinner was fried bee hoon and a plateful of boneless duck. The 2 dishes were delightful and prices reasonable ( bee hoon $4.50 and duck $10).
