Just a 30 minute walk away, a new neighbourhood has sprung up. It comprised of half a dozen of HDB (Housing Development Board or government subsidized flats) block of flats or apartments.
The neighbourhood looks clean and well designed. It has more greenery than most neighbourhood. Most of the blocks are 22 storey high. Facing this place is a river which is covered by trees and plants.

A 4 roomed flat which has an area of about 900 sq ft cost around S$300 whereas a 1,100 sq ft. 5 roomed flat cost about $400. A 4 or 5 roomed flat actually made up of 3 bedrooms, a living room and a dinning room (for the 4 roomed unit, the living and dinning area is combined together). All 4 or 5 roomed flats come with a kitchen, a wash area and 2 bathrooms cum toilets.
