Aleem Ibrahim, the almost indispensable Assistant Manager, will be appointed "Head of Project" in the cabin crew dept from 1 April 2017. His retirement is being extended another year (from 67 to 68), making him the oldest serving employee of SIA .

Ex crew who are single, no aging parents, no loans, can dedicate their entire
lives to SQ crew management. They seek not atonement but the hope that they can
work till infinity.
If you take a sample from their lungs, you'll find nothing but aircraft odours.
If you take a sample of their stomach contents, you'll find airline food.
And if you step into their homes, you might recognise items too.
They believe their acts are driven by passion for airline work.
VPs are smart enough to capitalise on this belief.

BT moved up the ladder to become CCE but wasn't single. The truth is some don't do well because they're not good enough to be promoted and not because they weren't willing to devote extra time to the airline.
